The only one I can count on is... me.
- Damon - The Vampire Diaries -

Here are a couple of stuff that don't fit into the Vampire theme but I want to put them up because one of them is my first banner and I just really like the other one even though it's a bit plain.

Soon I'll hopefully get a few more things up because I have some good ideas that fit in with the Vampire theme.

First commet! *does a little dance*

Anyways welcome to TDA! (:

So to start of not to be rude in any way but paint is not a good program i use GIMP 2.6.6 (newest) and it is completley free so you should look that up as Free Gimp downloads smile.gif Okay to start of you need to get better quality pictures, Here <---- that website has very good pictures from movies, trailors, actors, and so on smile.gif

know for your banner, it is a bit 'planned' out a bit. You should try overlapping.

Mm i think your bannerrs are the best things so far....well i think you are off to a good start and if you have questions even thought i am still a MA feel free to talk to me (:

SECOND POST=BEST!!!! (punches air with excitement)
Again, welcome to TDA!!! It seems like you have been getting off to a good start! Anyway, I agree with nevershoutlex, you can download GIMP (that seems like a good idea. ive never used it. XD) look around at peeps graphics to get an idea of placement, ect....! there's not much i can say, i wish i could give better advice but i suck at graphics myself, so yeah. One thing is, though, watch your image quality. Vampire theme is cool, but it gives you such structure... don't let that block you, try new stuff! Also, fonts are fun to download... check out dafont.com
Keep experimenting!

I suppose I get third post. ahem. smile.gif

First off, I agree with the Gimp suggestion; I downloaded it and it changed my life. Seriously. Haha anyways you have a pretty firm start with the gallery. Your avatars are pretty interesting. I like how you made them correspond to one another.

I also think that once you get a different program you'll have a better footing with graphics and such. There's really not much for me to say at the moment. Once you create more graphics, I'll surely revisit your page!! Oh and yeah, I agree that you should venture away from vampires. It's doing the unexpected that forms our individual styles. happy2.gif But honestly, great start, oh and welcome to TDA! Haha. It really is an amazing site and I hope you enjoy yourself. smile.gif

wow, i was definitely going to suggest using gimp, but i see that others already have... smile.gif i use it, and it is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. seriously.
now...for your images.
the image quality doesn't look too good, but i think that's because you had to resize it. the float on water thing is reallllly neat, totally in love with it, but i think you should watch out for image quality, and like i said, resizing. usually if i resize it (since i have gimp) i use percent to do it, so that i know that it is resizing equally.
the banner...maybe work on making it all fit together, you know? it kind of looks like a lot of icons, and that's cool, but it would have been neat if they all had worked with each other.
so, final suggestions: use dafont.com (i think someone already suggested it, but it really helps--i swear). its a safe way to download fonts, and there are such cool ones on there. also, use the tutorials on this site (you'll need a software for it, but gimp is free, and you can try to download adobe stuff for thirty day trials.) they can really help. one last thing, too--maybe try to make stuff that isn't vampire. its a really cool thing, but it can really box you in, and that can stop you from reaching the potential we all want. smile.gif
you're off to a great start, i can't wait to see what you put up next. wink.gif
edit: aaaaaah fourth!!

Hey!!!
I like how a sort of theme running through your gallery, but it can restrict you! wink.gif
So try to get some good HQ images – I know someone mentioned sweetandtalented before, which is an excellent site!
Also a really good thing to do is DOWNLOAD AN IMAGE PACK, there’re great, and will save you loads of time. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
You can get them from the Swap meet, and I also have a selection on my source list! smile.gif
Keep up the good work!
