Couldn't resist that after typing out the title. Anyway, this topic explains the various words and phrases that you can or should not use. A number of harsher words are banned altogether from the site, and if you type them, they will appear with **** instead. If you see these in a post you have made, you should change to another word. On a peaceful site such as TDA, there is no reason at all to swear in anger, use derogatory insults, or discuss sexual organs.
The following words are allowed:
- damn, darn, drat
- hell, heck
- bloody
- bugger
- sod off
- poop, crap
- ass, arse (but avoid asshole)
- bollocks
- WTF, frig, frigging
It is preferred that you do not use religious explicatives so that you don't offend other members. OMG or gosh or similar words are definitely allowed, but do avoid "g-ddamn", etc. These words are not banned, only frowned upon.
If you attempt to get around the ban filter by typing s*it or f*ck, you will be warned for swearing. Those words are easily avoided in posts, and there is a zero tolerance for their use on TDA.
