Hi I'm Ellie!
My header was totally not up to date and instead of making a new one
I decided it would be easier to just write some stuff here
I'm 20 years old and I study engineering at Oxford
(10/10 would not recommend if you want to keep your sanity)
I hope you enjoy my gallery xoxo
You frown as you enter this strange, dark place filled with colours and inexplicably saturated faces of beautiful people turned ugly by deep red and orange and purple hues. It's really rather unorganised and there's stuff everywhere, left and right and behind you and beside you and right before your eyes--in fact, it's enough that you know you'd rather be getting out of here as quickly as you can. But the only way out is down, and so, with a bit of reluctance, you begin the trek through what you have come to realise is called Ellie's Gallery.
You stop at the first thing that comes into view--a strange black rectangle on which is inscribed various names. You realise after a moment that these are names of people and bands and TV shows and films that the owner of Ellie's Gallery likes. Your eyebrows rise as you catch sight of a few names that you're familiar with, and some that you're even inclined to say that you love. Deciding that there can never be enough people to fangirl with, you decide to drop Ellie a PM about said person/band/TV show. You never know, perhaps it could be the beginning of a fantastic and beautiful friendship.

(Can't believe I managed to get to the final round and come second!)
It's not easy travelling through Ellie's Gallery, not with all of the clutter everywhere, and you nearly trip over a pile of Sarah Dessen books as you turn a corner. Cursing under your breath you note that you should probably look where you're putting your feet for the rest of the journey.
First thing you come across is a big black sign saying icons. You approach it warily, not really sure what it means, and stare at the small, box-shaped colourful squares in slight awe. It confuses you that so much can be packed into so little, though it doesn't look like the owner of Ellie's Gallery has tried too hard to pack a lot of stuff into her icons. Lazy is the way to go with icons, apparently.
You've never really thought about it before, but banner is such an odd word. It sounds really rather scary, especially when written upon a black background like that, and as you crawl out from underneath a tent made of a duvet or two and several pillows, you eye the long, rectangular things before you. Ellie likes to place things differently to most others, you see, for the newest banners are at the bottom. Her complete lack of new banners tells you that perhaps she's not too keen on them anymore. You don't blame her--they do look darn tricky, after all.
Now, this place doesn't seem so scary, and you smile a little bit as you step over a rubbish bin overflowing with Cadbury's Giant Chocolate Buttons wrappers and half-used tissues, running a hand over the black and white Chapter Images sign before turning your attention to the large, square-looking graphics in your way. Clearly, like the banners, they've been denied a bit of attention over the past several months.
This place is the brightest part of Ellie's Gallery, teeming with little helpers that look eerily similar to house elves. They're running around and assembling signatures at lightning speed, enabling Ellie to give them away to all of her PW friends at her own leisure. You can tell that this is Ellie's favourite place in the whole gallery, probably because of all of the confetti and fairy lights and the food everywhere and the bed in the corner--she must have set up residence here. Where she is now, you do not know. What is also a mystery is how long she will stay here in the signature section when the banners are trying their hardest to draw her back into their path. There are rather a lot of the sigs, anyway, and even though they're not exactly eyesores, you sigh a little, hoping that you're close to the end of Ellie's Gallery.
Finally, you're near the end! But the blends are colossal and looming, they tower over you and envelope you in their mysterious colours and darkness. They're surely the scariest graphic in all of Ellie's Gallery, and you step back away from them instinctively, glancing behind you at the comfort and happiness of Signatures. Perhaps you could live there forever with Ellie, you're sure she won't mind. These blends just looked far too intimidating to even try passing.
But with another step back your foot comes into contact with something shiny that rustles under your weight and you bend down, picking it up. It's a poster, a big one, and emblazoned upon it is a magnificent photo of Harry Potter facing the dragon in the Triwizard Tournament back in fourth year. You can make out Ron and Hermione in the crowds, the hoards of Gryffindor supporters around them. And it makes you realise something. It makes you realise that hey, if Harry can do it, so can you. It didn't matter whether you were a Hufflepuff or a Gryffindor or a Slytherin or a Ravenclaw--you could do anything if you put your mind to it.
And so you dropped the poster back down and took a big breath, then continued on.
And that was it! You were out! It had been a bit of an odd journey, and you weren't quite sure you'd really enjoyed it all that much, particularly not wandering through all those blends, but you'd made it through and that was what counted. Relief washed over you, steadying your heartbeat and slowing your breathing. You probably wouldn't come back here again, not for a long while. But you supposed it would be best to leave your respects to Ellie in a comment before you left. This was her home, after all--and though she hadn't welcomed you in or baked you cookies or even appeared to say hello, you knew that wherever she was right now she wished you well.
