[COMPLETED][Awaiting Pickup][Being Filled][open]TDA forum set - senior+ please

13 June 2016 - 03:23 PM

Size: 500x200, 100x100

Images: any of Jane Levy; my favourite are around Suburgatory era (look in the tv promo or photoshoots between 2011-2013), so when she has short, curly red hair. Her longer red hair is okay too, but I'm not too convinced by the photoshoots with her blonde hair

Text: 'I'm illiterate but I read a lot'

Color Preferences: blue, green, yellow, red, etc. I'd like it to be colourful but not too bright. Please not too much pink or purple  And when I say colourful, I mean I'd like the colours to stand out, so you can definitely throw some b&w, grey, whites, etc in here for contrasts ^^

Preferred Mood: summer-y? Idk, just not too dark. Jane Levy is smiling a lot anyway so...

Link to Place to be Used & Link to Screencap: here on TDA

When was the last time you requested this graphic? (on any site): January? February? definitely this winter

Additional Information: thank you guys!  I hate doing my own sets for some reason ^^

[COMPLETED][Being Filled][open]"Pygmalion" forum set

10 January 2016 - 06:48 AM

 Size: 500x200, 100x100

Images: anything/anyone from My Fair Lady, since this is the adaptation of the play, though I'm also fine with it being characterless, so it's up to the artist, really (you can find pics of Audrey +here).

Also, I had the +Penguin Classics cover in mind for colour/style inspiration, but don't force your style!

* either: "Galatea never does quite like Pygmalion: his relation to her is too godlike to be altogether agreeable", or

* "If I can't have kindness, I'll have independence. / Independence? That's middle class blasphemy" (or just the first sentence if it's really too long),

* and preferably for both, "Pygmalion, Bernard Shaw".

Color Preferences: no pink (or not too much) and no dark colours. I like blue and green, with maybe a bit of gold, but it's also up to the artist.

Preferred Mood: happy and funny, but not romantic.

Link to Place to be Used & Link to Screencap: here on TDA, +profile

When was the last time you requested this graphic? (on any site): September or August, I think.

Additional Information: Thank you for picking this request! :)

[COMPLETED][Awaiting Pickup][Being Filled][open]Gallery Header

28 December 2015 - 08:49 AM

 Size: 700x250

Link to Place to be Used: +gallery

Images: nothing in particular, but I'd like some sort of landscape at night? With a starry sky? Lights in the dark? If you want to go characterless, don't hesitate; otherwise, pick whomever you want! (if you need, my favourite actress is Jane Levy, but don't feel obligated to use her).

*title of gallery: here comes the black queen ('the poking in the pile' bit is not necessary, maybe as a quote somewhere?)

*bio: Catherine | 17 | Gimp; likes Earl Grey, cooking, Steinbeck and Latin

*If by some weird chance you need more text (!?), I like this quote by Flaubert: "il ne faut pas toucher aux idoles, la dorure en reste aux mains" (either in French or in English "Never touch your idols: the gilding will stick yo your fingers"), or anything from Queen's song The March of the Black Queen

Mood of your Skin: any that fits the text?

Color Preferences: on the darker side? Dark blues, greys, black, white? Anything, just no pinks or pastels

Additional Information: thank you so much for doing this!  :loves:  I will love you forever

Hullo there

08 August 2015 - 03:13 AM

Hello, I'm Catherine or kitcath. I'm open to all nicknames but Cathy, and most of the time I don't bite.
I'm French, I'm 17, I just finished high school and am entering my first year of prépa this fall to study Latin, Greek and History.
I am back to graphism after a three-year break (also known as high school), and I've been lurking on here and hpff.com for a few months, so yesterday I decided to take a big step and actually signed up.
I'm a photofiltre 7 autodidact, and I began in 7th grade, but I'm not sure I'm any good because I never had that much time to follow tutorials, and I'm both really self-critic and a perfectionist so I never like anything I do.
On an other note, I'm also an English autodidact, because most clichés about French people being rubbish in English are actually kind of true. I try to write fanfiction but as I am a perfectionist, I always re-write my chapters 50 times while being really insecure about my English and I never finish anything.
My favorite fandoms are Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, although I my favorite author is Steinbeck. Lately I've given up on YA literature (except for Cassandra Clare) and I'm more into Sword & Sorcery fantasy (I think?). My favorite authors are Douglas Hulick and Scott Lynch fod Tales of the Kin and The Lies of Locke Lamora, both of whom have highly irregular writing process so no one knows when we'll have the next tome.
Also, my goal is to write a character as flawed and as likable as James Adams, because I love the realism Robert Muchamore put into his characters.
I also have a rambling habit that I'm trying to get rid off...
